President Mnangagwa has declared the tragic road accident that claimed 17 lives along the Harare-Chitungwiza Road a national disaster.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Daniel Garwe, while addressing grieving families at a funeral parlour in Chitungwiza.
The bodies of the deceased are being held at Chitungwiza Central Hospital, and victims will be accorded state-assisted funerals.
