Student strikes father to death after altercation

A Form four student reportedly axed his father to death after an argument.

The suspect had spent two days away from home without the victim knowing his whereabouts.

In a statement, police confirmed the incident.

“Police in Nyanga are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which a form four student struck his father.

“The father, Tazvionesa Chitehwe (47) died after being axed on the head.

“The duo had an argument on February 13 at Nyamugafata Village.”

Meanwhile, police in Bindura arrested a man after he killed his wife after catching her with a boyfriend.

Justice Pondani (34) was arrested for a murder case that occurred on February 2, at a house in Woodbooke, Chiwaridzo, Bindura.

“The suspect attacked his wife Grace Chareka (34) by pushing her head several times against the wall after allegedly finding her with a boyfriend.

“The victim died on the spot,” police said in a statement.
