A man has been found guilty of bashing his mother before stripping her naked.
The 23-year-old from Mncedisi Village, Chief Bunina, Lower Gweru was arraigned before the Gweru Magistrates Court for domestic violence.
He was convicted and will be sentenced on December 3, while he will be in custody.
On November,18, the accused came home drunk and started accusing his mother of hating his wife.
He threatened to decapitate her before striking her with an iron rod once on the left eye, once on the forehead.
The accused also bashed her several times all over the body.
He also stripped her naked when she tried to run away.
The complainant was rescued by neighbours after she screamed.
She sustained a cut on the forehead and a swollen left eye.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe encourages members of the public to desist from violence and resolve their disputes amicably or seek third-party mediation.
