Harare dealer Patrick Mutenha known as Chimpa has been arrested for reportedly fraud, extortion, and theft of a motor vehicle. He was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department’s Vehicle Theft Squad (VTS) and Serious Crimes Unit at Arundel Shopping Centre.
Reports are that since last Friday, he had been evading arrest.
Mutenha was allegedly caught while trying to scam another unsuspecting victim.
It is alleged that he tricks customers before selling their cars without permission.
He is in police detention awaiting a court appearance.
In 2018, Mutenha was arrested over a US$97K fraud case.
