Preacher and diplomat Prophet Uebert Angel openly admitted that juju exists in football.
Angel said football is not just a physical game but a deeply emotional activity that naturally attracts spiritual influences.
He wqs speaking during an interview on Scottland Magazine show.
“Everything that has emotions has spirituality.
“It’s not only money involved, it’s also life.
“That is why sometimes players collapse on the pitch. “Millions are poured into football annually; it’s not a joke.”
He added humorously that in Zimbabwe, football seems predictable:
“Soccer is a game where eleven people each side play and Scottland wins!”
Angel’s comments add to long-standing speculation about the use of supernatural practices in African football.
Angel also boldly stated that God is interested in football, arguing that the sport’s global popularity makes it spiritually significant.
“Football is not a small thing because nearly 3.5 billion people follow soccer,.
“If this number is interested in soccer, then God is also interested.”
He said the emotional impact of football, its ability to unite crowds, and the joy it brings are clear signs that it plays a constructive role in society.
He added that large crowds who could potentially be involved in crime often find positive engagement through football.
“Imagine 60,000 people who might have been committing crime gathering together to watch football.”
Angel also promised a special announcement about Scotland FC during his Sunday service.
