A woman from Munhundangwa village is currently wanted in connection with the murder of her boyfriend following a dispute over a missing birth certificate.
The tragic incident occurred on November 16, around 9 pm.
In a statement, police announced that they are seeking information on the whereabouts of Venia Dumba, who is accused of killing Moses Nyoni.
According to police reports, the confrontation began when the couple argued about Venia’s missing birth certificate, which she needed to apply for a passport at the Rutenga Registry Offices.
Fortunately, the victim’s sister intervened during the heated exchange and managed to resolve the issue amicably, allowing everyone to retire to bed on what seemed to be a reconciliatory note.
However, early the next morning, on November 17, the victim’s sister made a horrifying discovery, Moses’s lifeless body was lying on the ground, blood pooling beneath his head.
Venia, the main suspect, was nowhere to be found at the homestead.
The police urge anyone with information to come forward, as the search for Venia Dumba continues.
