Internationally acclaimed comedian King Kandoro will headline the much-anticipated 15th edition of Comedy Night.
The event is set to take place at Harare Gardens on Thursday, September 25.

This year’s Shoko Comedy Night promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Zimbabwean humor and comedic talent,
King Kandoro has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated comedic talents.
He is the first Zimbabwean comedian to headline and sell out Reps Theatre in 2019, a feat that he surpassed in 2021 when he sold out 7 Arts Theatre with his Prodigal Son Tour.
In December 2024, he pulled off the most daring act by a Zimbabwean comedian, selling out the 3,500-seater Celebration Centre, adding 400 more seats to accommodate the demand for the show.
King Kandoro’s appearance at Shoko Festival 2025 marks a highly anticipated homecoming that fans won’t want to miss as he brings his internationally acclaimed tour back to Zimbabwe during his birthday month.
King Kandoro’s career trajectory has taken him from local stages to international platforms,
representing Zimbabwe’s comic excellence across the continent and beyond.
The Shoko Comedy Night lineup presents an exceptional collection of Zimbabwe’s finest comedic talent, showcasing the depth and diversity of the country’s comedy scene.
Adding international flair to the lineup is Kenya’s Justine Wanda, the Nairobi-based satirist
and creator of “Fake Woke With Justine”, a satirical show that combines humour and critical
discourse. Her sharp social commentary combines observational satire with dark humour,
tackling everything from election misinformation to macroeconomics across the African
continent.
With an impressive touring history across Africa, including performances in South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Uganda, Justine brings a continental perspective to Shoko’s Comedy Night.
Her writing credits include contributions to The Fareed Khimani Show, Buni Media’s XYZ, and Zimbabwe’s own Magamba TV.
Munyaradzi Mike Chipere, popularly known as Mike, brings his unique blend of sharp wit
and relatable storytelling to the Shoko stage with a distinctive style that seamlessly blends
Shona, English, and street lingo.
Well-known Zimbabwean comedienne Munya, the multifaceted Zimbabwean performance artist and creative force, brings her mischievous observations and biting satire to the festival.
Munya has performed in Eswatini, Kenya, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
She has writing credits for The Week on Magamba TV and the previous Shoko Festival Comedy Roasts.
Bulawayo Arts Award (BAA) for Outstanding Comedian (2023) and NAMA nominee for Outstanding Comedian (2025), Mbongeni Ignatius Ndlovu is set to bring his rib-cracking theatrical style to Shoko Comedy Night, comedy lovers are in for a treat.
Award-winning DJ and entertainment personality, Dj Iroq, will be joining the lineup to make the night extra special, entertaining comedy lovers between performances.

He returns triumphantly to Shoko as a headliner, and this shows our commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists in Zimbabwe who speak truth to power.
