A driver reportedly killed a passenger after a dispute over US$0.50.
Police have since arrested the Honda Fit vehicle driver, Luckman Kamangile (27), after he allegedly committed the crime on November 19.
The incident occurred at Walter Mukamba area, Ruwa.
The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, Amos Karumba (40) with open hands following a dispute over ZiG20 change.
The victim had boarded the suspect’s vehicle from George area, Ruwa, to Walter Mukamba and paid US$1 fare.
The victim succumbed to the injuries while sleeping at home.
Meanwhile, in Masvingo, Kainos Masekesa (32) was arrested in connection with a case of murder in which he attacked his wife, Trish Sithembile Masaiti (20).
He used fists, logs, and a hoe following a domestic dispute over infidelity on November 20, at Mackyey Compound, Mkwasine.
The attack resulted in the victim’s death.
