In a bid to promote local economic growth and creativity, Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) has successfully renovated its hotel Rainbow Towers, incorporating products from local businesses and creatives.
The renovation project not only upgraded the hotel’s facilities but also provided a platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and products.
Pride Khumbula, RTG’s Corporate Affairs and Quality Manager, said their aim is to promote domestic tourism and provide Zimbabweans with exciting staycation options.
Khumbula said RTG has demonstrated its commitment to support the local economy and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
“We believe that this initiative will have a positive impact on the local community, creating opportunities for small businesses and creatives to grow and develop. This move is part of RTG’s broader strategy to contribute to the country’s economic development and promote Zimbabwean talent,” she said.
Khumbula said their focus is on quality and sustainability as it is expected to enhance the overall tourism experience, contributing to the growth of the local tourism industry.

The RTG Chief Executive Tendai Madziwanyika said the state-of-the-art of the Harare International Conference Centre HICC heating systems will ensure a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, allowing patrons to focus on enjoying the show without worrying about the chilly weather outside.
Whether it’s a live music performance, or a corporate event, the hotel’s new heating system is designed to provide the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable experience.
“The refashioning of the Rainbow Towers Hotel & Conference Centre has breathed new life into the hotel,” said Madziwanyika.
“It offers timeless comfort with a modern twist.”
The hotel hosted ten of the Heads of State attending the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The Rainbow Towers Hotel went beyond hospitality — by crafting a bespoke diplomatic experience.
RTG has also intensified its focus on boosting domestic tourism through the investments of over US$5 million in infrastructural development.
