Eight more bodies have been recovered in the Kariba Ferry disaster bringing the total deaths to 80.
Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo confirmed the latest development at a briefing this afternoon.
“We have had a a devastating tragedy in Kariba where several people have lost their lives,” she said.
“We have just received information on the recovery of eight other bodies, meaning we now have 80 deaths in the disaster.”
