Zimdancehall artist Romeo ‘Shinsoman’ Anthony, has been fined US$200 after he was convicted of smoking cannabis.
He pleaded guilty before a Mbare magistrate.
Shinsoman 37, was charged along with Themba Sibanda (26), Tendai Shumba (43), Kennedy Simbanegavi (37) and Cosmas Muzanzi (41).
All five admitted to contravening Section 157(1)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, which outlaws possession of dangerous drugs.
They were each fined US$200.
Magistrate Ranga Jere warned that failure to pay would result in a four-month jail term, with three months suspended for five years on condition they do not commit a similar offence.
The offence occurred on January 5, 2026, at a house in Highfields, where CID Drugs and Narcotics detectives allegedly found the men smoking cannabis near a parked Mercedes-Benz during follow-up investigations.
