The suspect from Vheremu village under Chief Chipuriro in Guruve, faces 12 counts of murder, along with charges of rape and attempted murder.

The suspected serial killer is under heavy police guard at a hospital in Harare.

He was remanded in custody until January 19, by Harare provincial magistrate Vakayi Chikwekwe.
