Chitungwiza Regional Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 48-year-old male to 20 years imprisonment after he raped his biological daughter.
The juvenile female (17), then aged 15, was a student at the time the abuse began.
The abuse occurred between March 2024 and August 2025 while the victim was living with the offender in South Africa.
On March 22, 2024, the victim attempted to escape an initial assault by pretending she needed the toilet.
The offender chased her down the road, caught her, and dragged her back to the house.
Once inside, he brutally assaulted the victim with his fists and open hands, striking her repeatedly on the head and face.
The offender committed acts of unlawful sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault (oral sex) against the victim without her consent.
The unlawful acts continued over a period of more than a year until August 2025.
The court ordered the 20-year sentences for counts 1 and 2 to run concurrently, resulting in an effective 20-year prison term.
