Residents of Eastville Phase 4 honoured and celebrated Gogo Mbai, a devoted midwife who has faithfully served the community for over a decade.
The residents gathered in overwhelming numbers to pay tribute.
The event was supported by Zambuko Home of Hope, founded by Neville Sandama, who is also one of the pastors at Joshua Generation Church.
The community showed gratitude and a powerful spirit of unity.
People from all walks of life came together to express their love and appreciation.
Currently assisting between 10 and 15 expectant mothers every week, Gogo Mbai continues to serve with compassion and dedication despite operating with minimal resources.
Her outstanding commitment has brought life, hope, and support to countless families in the community.
The celebration was graced by Pastor William Magombo and Chaplain Afiki from CCPN Mabvuku Police, alongside leaders and congregants from various churches and denominational backgrounds.
Their presence highlighted a beautiful picture of unity—a community standing together to honour one of its own.
A resident confirmed that it was truly remarkable to witness how one individual’s faithful and selfless service could unite an entire neighborhood.

During the celebration, Zambuko Home of Hope pledged its commitment to assist in building and maintaining proper facilities to strengthen Gogo Mbai’s work within the community—a promise received with great joy and hope.
