Zimbabwe’s representatives have made the country proud at the just-ended World Championship Powerlifting and Bodybuilding 2026.
The trio of Africa’s Strongest Woman and Zimbabwe’s national powerlifter Chido Maenzanise, Spiwe Munyaka, and Simba Mhaka proved their prowess after emerging best in the categories.

Maenzanise emerged first in her category and second overall.
In an interview, Maenzanise said they feel overwhelmed with the success.

“We were three athletes from Zimbabwe which for the GLOBAL POWERLIFTING and Body Building competition for the whole world.

“There were lots of countries globally, including Britain, Australia, Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan etc.

“We competed for squat bench, and deadlift, and I was in the first place in my category, then number 2 overall.
“Spiwe was number one in her category but #3 overall.
“Simba was #1 overall, and in ladies, Britain was the leading one,” said Maenzanise.
