A Buhera man struck his wife to death with an axe, accusing her of cheating, before he committed suicide.
In a statement, police in Nyanyadzi confirmed that they are investigating a case of murder which occurred on November 5, at Gadzai Village, Birchenough Bridge, Buhera.
The suspect, Luckson Muchadeyi (42), killed his wife, Prisca Mabuyazve (33), by striking her on the head and neck with an axe after accusing her of infidelity.
The suspect went on to commit suicide by drinking rat poison.
Meanwhile, Police in Mkwasine are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder in which Webster Dzingo (23) was shot dead with an unknown firearm by an unknown suspect at UB 93, Admin on November 5.
Police in Norton arrested Lionel Simbarashe for a case of murder which occurred on November 5, near a bar at Kingsdale Shopping Centre.
The suspect allegedly strangled his wife, Angela Malison, with a jacket after a misunderstanding. The victim was found dead near a railway line with the jacket wrapped around her neck.
Meanwhile, Police in Mutorashanga are investigating a case of murder in which a yet to be identified man was found dead with a deformed head on the same day beside a dust road linking Mutorashanga residential area and ZIMASCO mining shafts.
