Police in Mbare have arrested Taona Dzimbo (40) in connection with a case of theft of copper pipes at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital on October 5.
The suspect, who was admitted to the hospital with a fractured leg, was caught while damaging hospital examination lights and removing internal copper components.
Police recovered 45 pieces of copper pipe, each measuring 20cm, and an aluminum pipe from the suspect’s hospital locker.
The suspect is now under police guard at the hospital.
