A suspect who reportedly murdered businessman Joseph Mutangadura has been arrested.
The murder and robbery occurred at Mutangadura Hideout in Ruwa on August 17.
Police national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirm the arrest of Phillip Mutasa (38) in connection with the robbery and murder of Joseph Mutangadura (67), which occurred at Mutangadura Hideout along Dunstan Road, Ruwa, Harare, on August 17.
“On October 3, detectives from CID Homicide, Harare received information which linked the suspect to the murder and robbery cases.
“The detectives tracked the suspect, leading to his arrest in Mkoba Six, Gweru.
“The suspect implicated seven accomplices who are on the run.”
