Over 700 suspects have been arrested under the operation No to Illegal firearms, misuse of toy guns, and dangerous weapons.
In a statement, National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said, from September 1 to date, police arrested suspects.
“748 suspects for having unlicensed firearms, failure to renew firearms, misuse of toy guns, and unlawful possession of other dangerous weapons.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that any deviation from the regulations regarding firearms possession and certification is a chargeable offence under the Firearms Act (Chapter 10.09).”
