A man in Lupane has been arrested for killing a rival he was accusing of dating his girlfriend.
In a statement confirmed that they are investigating a case of murder that occurred in Makhandeni Village, Lupane, on July 31.
Dumezweni Mpofu allegedly stabbed Crispen Moyo (23) several times on the back and right arm after accusing him of having an affair with his girlfriend.
In another case, police said on July 30, in Gwanda they arrested Sandra Mpofu (33) in connection with a murder case which occurred at Gwakwe Mine on July 29.
The suspect allegedly struck Washington Ndlovu (53) on the head with a log following a misunderstanding.
The victim sustained head injuries and was referred to Gwanda Hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries on July 30.
