A Zimbabwe man has been arrested for shooting his son to death after mistaking him for a baboon.
The 78-year-old man, Isaac Nyakurerwa, shot dead his son, Innocent, 46, while they were chasing baboons in Headlands.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirms investigating the case.
“The ZRP is investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which Innocent was shot dead by his father, Isaac with a Winchester rifle.
“They were chasing baboons in the field on March 26, at Village 20A, Fairfield 20 Farm, Headlands.
“Police have since arrested the suspect in connection with the case.”
