{"id":6605,"date":"2026-09-24T19:19:29","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T19:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zimdailyjournal.co.zw\/?p=6605"},"modified":"2026-09-24T19:20:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T19:20:02","slug":"another-suspected-suicide-in-glen-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zimdailyjournal.co.zw\/index.php\/2026\/09\/24\/another-suspected-suicide-in-glen-view\/","title":{"rendered":"Another suspected suicide in Glen View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Zimdailyjournal Correspondent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A man from Glen View 3 reportedly died at Sally Mugabe Hospital on Wednesday after he allegedly ingested rat poison in what is being treated as a suspected suicide case.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The incident has left neighbours shocked following another mystery death surrounding a couple in the same neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p>The man, whose identity could not be established immediately, reportedly fell ill after consuming the poison.<\/p>\n<p>He was rushed to the hospital, where he died on arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Close sources said the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.<\/p>\n<p>However, neighbours said he had recently been experiencing problems in his marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Some neighbours claimed that the man\u2019s elder brother had given him US$180, but that he allegedly spent the money before his death.<\/p>\n<p>They also alleged that the man had been having problems with his wife, Keisha, whom he accused of cheating.<\/p>\n<p>One neighbour said the man assaulted his wife following their dispute, prompting her to report the matter to the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was supposed to report to the police after the assault. He was also accusing his wife of cheating,\u201d the neighbour said.<\/p>\n<p>Another neighbour said the man often complained that his wife only loved him when he had money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe used to say things were good between them when he had money, but they would change when he had nothing,\u201d the neighbour said.<\/p>\n<p>However, neighbours said the couple appeared to be on good terms shortly before the incident. A day before his death, the man was reportedly seen at a local shopping centre enjoying a braai with his wife and friends.<\/p>\n<p>He also reportedly attended the funeral of his neighbours, Nyasha Mhungu and his wife, Olga Muzhingi, who died in their bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>The couple was found dead in their bedroom after reportedly seeking counselling from their church leader only hours
