The Zimbabwe Republic Police is concerned with cases of murder, attempted murder and suicide involving couples and family members arising from domestic disputes.<\/p>\n
In a statement, national police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said some of the incidents have resulted in loss of life and serious injuries.<\/p>\n

On September, 21, at Maisa Village, Zhombe, Emily Takadii (23) allegedly had a misunderstanding with her husband over allegations of infidelity.<\/p>\n
She allegedly gave a poisonous substance to her two sons, Shyne Tavatya, aged six, and Sean Tavatya, aged nine, before ingesting the same substance.<\/p>\n
The two minors died upon admission at Kwekwe District Hospital, while the mother is currently admitted at the same hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
In Glen View 3, Harare, a couple, Nyasha Mhungu (35) and Olga Muzhingi (30), who were reportedly experiencing marital disputes, were found dead in their bedroom on September 23.<\/p>\n
Police are conducting investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.<\/p>\n
On September,22, at Marowa Village, Mukumbura, Robert Tashinga (50) allegedly struck his wife, Nollent Sinosi (36), with an axe following a misunderstanding over allegations of infidelity.<\/p>\n
The victim died on the spot, and the suspect reportedly fled from the scene.<\/p>\n
In Mvurwi, Police arrested Kudakwashe Rangarirai (27) in connection with a case of murder and attempted murder which occurred in Omeath Extension, Mvurwi on 22nd September 2026.<\/p>\n
The suspect allegedly killed his two-year-old stepson, Prince Owen Mugari, and seriously injured his 23-year-old wife.<\/p>\n
He subsequently ingested a poisonous substance and is currently admitted at Mvurwi Hospital. His wife is admitted in critical condition at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.<\/p>\n
In Nyamhunga, Kariba, Police arrested Emmanuel Mpofu (33) in connection with a case of attempted murder after he severely assaulted his 25-year-old wife following allegations of infidelity.<\/p>\n
The victim is receiving treatment at Kariba Hospital.<\/p>\n
The Zimbabwe Republic Police urges couples and family members to seek peaceful and lawful means of resolving their differences.<\/p>\n
Members of the public are encouraged to seek counselling and involve trusted third parties, including traditional leaders, church leaders and professional counsellors, when faced with marital or domestic challenges.<\/p>\n
