<\/p>\nA Roman Catholic priest of Archdiocese of Harare, Father Regis Chikuni, who went missing a few days ago, has been found in a mortuary at Parirenyatwa Hospital.<\/p>\n
The 58-year-old, senior priest of the Archdiocese of Harare, went missing, prompting the Church to issue an urgent public appeal.<\/p>\n

In a notice dated 5 September 2026 read to parishioners during Sunday Mass, the Archdiocese said it is concerned about his whereabouts and well-being.<\/p>\n
However, Fr. Ephraim Murwira, the Archbishop’s Secretary, has confirmed that the priest was found in a mortuary at Parirenyatwa Hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cDear Priests, Religious, and Laity of the Archdiocese of Harare,<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Father Regis Chikuni.<\/p>\n
\u201cTragically, he was found deceased at the mortuary of Parirenyatwa Hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this time of sorrow, we are reminded of the promise of the Resurrection.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe take comfort in our faith that Father Chikuni has returned to the loving embrace of our Lord.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis dedication to his pastoral duties and the impact he had on our community will forever be cherished in our hearts.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe understand that the news of his passing is a profound loss for us all, and we urge everyone to come together in prayer as we reflect on the memories and blessings that Father Chikuni brought into our lives.<\/p>\n
