Four mourners have been killed in a road accident near Ingezi Township in Kadoma.<\/p>\n
The accident claimed the lives of Fungai Dzomba, Mitchel Kanogwere, 27, Elizabeth Chavhunguma, 39, and Chenesai Chaitezvi, 26, who were travelling from Rimuka Cemetery for a burial procession of a local resident, identified as Girly Mashiri.<\/p>\nMitchell Kanogerwe in green top and Elizabeth Chavhunguma<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
They were travelling in a Honda Fit vehicle which was involved in a head-on collision with a D4D Double Cab vehicle near Sichel Service Station at almost the 150 km peg along the Harare-Bulawayo highway.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Three of the deceased died on the spot while Chenesai died at Kadoma General Hospital.<\/p>\nFungai Dzomba<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Police national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe accident occurred at the 146 km peg along the Harare-Bulawayo Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cA motorist who was driving a Honda Fit carrying seven passengers was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Hilux.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of the collision, the Honda Fit veered off the road, overturned and landed on its roof.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo of the four passengers in the Honda Fit who had sustained severe injuries died upon admission at Kadoma General Hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sources say three of the deceased were netball players in Kadoma.<\/p>\n
Elizabeth was once on the army side, Ngezi Barracks Netball Team.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe leaves behind two kids, including a five-month-old baby.<\/p>\n
