Details of a Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Service officer who killed his wife and pregnant daughter have emerged.<\/p>\n

The incident, which occurred on May 3, has left the Kadoma community shocked and seeking many answers.<\/p>\n

Police have since confirmed the murder cases and the arrest of Obert Namurokosi (45), which occurred in Victory Park, Kadoma.<\/p>\n

He reportedly killed his wife, Cynthia Namurokosi (45), and daughter Takudzwa (23), who was nine months pregnant.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect allegedly had a domestic dispute with his wife, Cynthia Namurokosi (45), who sought refuge at their daughter, Takudzwa Namurokosi (23)\u2019s residence on May 2.
\n\u201cOn the following day, the suspect reportedly followed her there, armed with a kitchen knife, and attacked both victims.
\n\u201cHe allegedly stabbed his daughter, who was nine months pregnant, multiple times before turning on his wife, whom he stabbed on the neck.
\n\u201cBoth victims succumbed to the injuries,\u201d said police in a statement.<\/p>\n

However, Zimdailyjournal has established that after committing the offence, Obert handed himself to the police.<\/p>\n

It is reported that they had a misunderstanding with his wife prior to the incidents.<\/p>\n

Our close sources stated that the major conflict emerged from an issue where the wife, Cynthia, told him that the daughter, Takudzwa, was not his blood.<\/p>\n

This came after she was married, and a lobola of around US$9,000 was paid.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe handed himself over to the police after he had killed his wife and daughter.
\n\u201cSadly, it is reported that they had an altercation in which the wife told him that Takudzwa was not his child. While the issue infidelity also arose.
\n\u201cThat angered him, since she said, uda kudya mari yemwana asiri wako (you want to enjoy lobola on a child who is not yours),\u201d said the source.<\/p>\n

However, another inside source said they had other issues before the lobola case.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy is a Mathematician, and he has been lecturing and mentoring people. So he urged his wife to go to school with his support.
\n\u201cHe is a retired prison guard.
\n\u201cHe met his wife, who had no academic history, she had not even a single subject at O Level.
\n\u201cHe helped her to study through supplements, and she managed to acquire some subjects.
\n\u201cSince he had a senior rank, he organised a job for her within the service before they transferred to Karoi.
\n\u201cThe issue came when he resigned and ordered his wife to also seek a transfer letter back to Kadoma, but she refused.
\n\u201cThat didn\u2019t go down well with him,\u201d said the source.<\/p>\n

Added the source:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe incident of his wife refusing to transfer didn\u2019t go down well with him since they exchanged words.
\n\u201cSo, it looks like this man had many issues within his heart.
\n\u201cAnga akadumbirwa and worse pakazonzi mwana haasi wake, it even triggered his emotions.
\n\u201cThis is premeditated murder because he followed the victims in Ngezi where they had escaped to seek refuge.
\n\u201cHe killed all the victims at his son-in-law\u2019s house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another source said he has been an abusive man.<\/p>\n

“This man has always been an abuser, allegedly.<\/p>\n

“He is a violent, weak, and sick man.<\/p>\n

“He failed, and he is a failure.<\/p>\n
