Opposition leader, Advocate Nelson Chamisa, has been sucked into an adultery saga which is before the High Court after he allegedly gave his blessings to a friend to \u2018date\u2019 a married woman.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The matter was revealed by the Plaintiff, who is suing his wife of 11 years, Dadirai Victoria Fichane’s alleged lover, Dr. Fungai Nota.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The case, which is under HCHP726, has seen the Plaintiff claiming US$300 000 in adultery damages from Dr. Nota, who is also a registered medical doctor.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to the court, the Plaintiff alleges that Dr. Nota’s union with his wife, Dadirai, was as a result of Chamisa’s blessings after the politician introduced Nota to Dadirai.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Plaintiff claims that despite Chamisa’s known Christian values, he acted knowingly that Dadirai was a married woman, but went on to introduce her to Dr. Nota while also offering his blessings for them to date.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to the summons filed on March 24, the Plaintiff alleges that sometime in September 2025, Dr. Nota, who is also married, allegedly entered into an adulterous affair with Dadirai.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The court record further states that around December 2025, the plaintiff claims he overheard a flirtatious conversation between Dadirai and Dr. Nota over the phone.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
When he confronted Dadirai, she allegedly denied any romantic relationship with Dr. Nota.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On March 3, 2026, the Plaintiff installed an anti-carjacking device for security purposes only for the tracker to later become central to his allegations.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cSometime during September 2025, the Defendant was introduced to my wife by NELSON CHAMISA, the leader of Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC), a political party in Zimbabwe.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe Defendant, well knowing about the said marriage, had an adulterous affair with my wife, DADIRAI VICTORIA MANASE (NEE FICHANI).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cSometime around the month of December 2025, the Plaintiff overheard the Defendant having a flirtatious conversation with his lawful wife over the phone.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe Plaintiff questioned his wife, but she denied any romantic relationship with the Defendant,\u201d read the papers.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The car tracker also recorded conversations between people in the car, including phone calls made between Dadirai and Dr. Nota.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
High Court papers say the husband alleges he not only suspected an affair, but later \u201cheard\u201d and claims that he was left humiliated, traumatised, and teetering on the edge of losing his home.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He claims that on March 13, 2026, the recorded data showed the two were in an adulterous relationship.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cUpon confrontation,\u201d the summons says, it emerged that Dr. Nota and Dadirai were involved in what the husband describes as an affair that had been ongoing \u201cfor some time\u201d.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The plaintiff alleges that Dr. Nota persisted even after being aware of the marriage.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He argues the conduct by Dr. Nota was \u201cunlawful and wrongful,\u201d aimed at destroying his dignity and marital life.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cDr. Nota’s conduct was unlawful and wrongful, aimed at destroying my dignity and marital relationship.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe Plaintiff was seriously affected by the discovery of the adulterous relationship to an extent that he lost dignity within his community.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cAs a result of the adulterous relationship, the Plaintiff was shocked, and the marriage is now facing very serious problems.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cBy reason of the matters aforesaid, the Plaintiff has suffered various degrees of trauma, particularised below: –<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201ci. Plaintiff lost love for his wife and consortium.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cii. Plaintiff is on the verge of losing his marriage of eleven years.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201ciii. The Plaintiff has suffered and still suffers stressful moments, contumelia as a result of the adulterous affair.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
iv. The Plaintiff’s legitimate expectation of raising their two children together with his wife has been shattered.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWHEREFORE Plaintiff claims the following damages:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201ca) Payment of a total sum of US$150 000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) or its equivalent in Zimbabwean Dollars at the prevailing RBZ Bank exchange rate on the date of payment, being damages for loss of consortium.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cb) Payment of US$150 000-00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) or its equivalent in Zimbabwean Dollars at the prevailing RBZ Bank exchange rate on the date of payment, being damages for loss of contumelia.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cc) Interest at the prescribed rate from the date of issuance of summons, to the date of full and final settlement.<\/div>\n
