Government has sternly warned the public against taking pictures at accidents scene that anyone caught off guard will face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\n
Addressing the post-cabinet media briefing, Information Minister Dr Zhemu Soda said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCabinet expressed its deepest condolences following the tragic loss of six Mujuru family members in a road traffic accident on Thursday last week.<\/p>\n
\u201cCabinet also expressed its deepest condolences on the death of seven Highlanders Football Club supporters who died in a road traffic accident along Bulawayo Beitbridge Road on Friday, and the death of four family members in a road traffic accident along Shangani-Bulawayo Road on Thursday, 2nd April 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cA detailed report on the road traffic accidents that occurred during the Easter holidays will be presented to Cabinet in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also said that the Cabinet further expressed concern over the circulation of road accident scenes on social media platforms, and strongly discourages the public from engaging in such untoward acts.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn that regard, Cabinet warns the public that appropriate measures will be taken against anyone found responsible for such conduct.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe seriously condemn such acts. Going forward, the law is going to take its course, especially if you could imagine that your relative has passed on through social media.<\/p>\n
