<\/p>\nFormer Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe\u2019s son, Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe (28), and his co-accused, Thobias Mugabe Matonhodze (33), have been remanded in custody after formally charged with attempted murder, defeating the course of justice by hiding the gun used in the crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n
The attempted murder charge relates to the shooting of a gardener at the Mugabe residence in Johannesburg on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The gardener, who was severely injured, is in hospital receiving treatment for his wounds.<\/p>\n
South African police arrived at the scene, but could not find the gun, and since then, it has not yet been recovered.<\/p>\n
He was remanded to March 3 for a bail application after the State opposed bail.<\/p>\n
Chatunga is Mugabe\u2019s third and last-born child with Grace Mugabe.<\/p>\n
The shooting, which happened at the Mugabe residence in Johannesburg\u2019s upmarket, leafy suburb of Hyde Park, is the latest in a litany of cases involving Mugabe\u2019s sons.<\/p>\n
The Johannesburg house was bought for the Mugabe boys when their father was still in power in 2017 for R43 million, which was the equivalent of about US$3.2 million at the time.<\/p>\n
Mugabe\u2019s legal team said his condition has stabilised after he collapsed while in custody on Friday.
