Scottland FC Queens have been honoured by their owners.<\/p>\n

The ladies were pampered with awards and praises on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

During the\u00a0 award ceremony, the team’s patron Gracious Sakupwanya\u00a0 urged young women to take the lead in sports, as it helps to open doors, shape character, and create opportunities.<\/p>\n

She said women can change their lives through sport.<\/p>\n

Despite the team finishing third in the Northern Division 1 League, the ladies were presented with trophies and cash prizes.<\/p>\n

“We represent soccer for development, a philosophy rooted in the belief that football can open doors, shape character and strength, and amplify their voice.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
