It seems that the late businessman Joseph Mutangadura has spoken from the grave, as all the suspects reportedly involved in his murder have now been arrested.<\/p>\n
Since his death on August 17 of this year, all seven suspects have been brought to book.<\/p>\n
The seventh suspect appeared in court yesterday.<\/p>\n
Tarisai Terence Tetena faced Harare regional magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa and was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n
He has been advised to apply for bail at the High Court.<\/p>\n
The suspects include Given Mandizadza (34), Phillip Mutasa (38), Anesu Machadu (32), and Webster Nhau (57).<\/p>\n
Another fugitive, Vengesai Jabulani Mutasa (41), was captured in a dramatic turn of events after he shot a police officer in Sanyati, Mashonaland West province.<\/p>\n
Tariro Mutsamanye (34) and Dexter Tinashe Mugaro (31) have been in custody as they await the finalisation of several cases involving various charges related to armed robberies.<\/p>\n
They were remanded in custody until next month and advised to apply for bail at the High Court, as they are facing serious charges.<\/p>\n
Additionally, four other suspected armed robbers have already been arrested in connection with the case.<\/p>\n
Among them are two brothers, Philip and Vengesai Jabulani Mutasa, and police have indicated that the gang members are likely related.<\/p>\n
The gang raided Mutangadura’s hideout on August 17.<\/p>\n
Around 11:15 PM, security guard Bonus Kadiwa, who was on duty, heard barking dogs and went to investigate.<\/p>\n
He spotted two men crawling near the gardener’s cottage toward the main house.<\/p>\n
Suddenly, he was grabbed from behind and threatened with a pistol.<\/p>\n
The suspects, armed with claw bars, hammers, and pistols, forced Kadiwa to walk around the house before breaking down the north-facing main door to gain entry.<\/p>\n
Kadiwa then realized there were seven attackers, all wearing balaclavas.<\/p>\n
They confiscated his cell phone and left one suspect to guard him while the other six ransacked the house.<\/p>\n
The suspects broke into the master bedroom, where they encountered Mutangadura.<\/p>\n
A single gunshot was fired, hitting the businessman in the chest and killing him instantly.<\/p>\n
This week, police announced that they had recovered the pistol from Vengesai Mutasa, which was used to kill Mutangadura.<\/p>\n
