Ironically, the very individuals who were instructed to uphold this principle have twisted it into a chilling norm.<\/p>\n
In this world where the killing of one another over trivial disputes has become alarmingly frequent, society has descended into a state of fear.<\/p>\n
Once, bars served as sanctuaries for relaxation and camaraderie, now, they echo with the shadows of violence, transforming into haunting death zones.<\/p>\n
In a recent incident that shook the community of Chegutu, police apprehended 34-year-old Peter Jaungeti, along with Amidu Tembo (31) and Steven Katirange (36), in connection with a brutal murder that transpired at Rainbowend Farm, Gadzema, on July 26.<\/p>\n
The suspects, along with their still-at-large accomplices, Itayi Urayayi (21), known as Chomi, and Shame Kondo, allegedly took turns mercilessly assaulting the victim, Kudakwashe Kandeya (20).<\/p>\n
Fueled by a drunken argument during a night of revelry, they wielded a hoe, a log, and a sjambok.<\/p>\n
The assault was so savage that the young man succumbed to his injuries on the spot.<\/p>\n
In a separate tragedy, police in Madlambuzi arrested Thabelo Sibanda (21) in connection with another heinous act.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that he stabbed Somandla Ngwenya (19) in a fit of rage over a disagreement regarding a girlfriend at Mafeha Business Centre in the Malalume area on July 25.<\/p>\n
