Trevor Dongo’s girlfriend, Tanaka Mafukidze (24), and her friend Prudent Chipo Musimike (25) have appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court over the malicious damage to his property.<\/p>\n
The incident that occurred in March has been shrouded in many mixed reactions and theories.<\/p>\n
The matter is set for trial on June 11, 2025.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that on March 21, 2025, a flat at 9 Residell Flat in Harare, belonging to Rosemary Danda, caught fire.<\/p>\n
Danda was alerted by her brother and upon arrival, observed the flat burning and two seemingly inebriated women at the scene.<\/p>\n
Initial investigations led to Danda’s tenant, Trevor Dongo.<\/p>\n
It was discovered that on the day of the incident, Dongo was with his girlfriend, Tanaka, who had been out for lunch with her friend, Prudent.<\/p>\n
Dongo invited Tanaka to his flat, and she arrived with Prudent.<\/p>\n
Upon Prudent’s entry, a disagreement reportedly arose between Dongo and Tanaka concerning Prudent’s presence.<\/p>\n
Dongo left to pick up a friend, and while he was gone, Tanaka and Prudent continued to argue and, in the process, set the house on fire.<\/p>\n
