The \u00a0Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Tatenda Mavetera has urged students to take innovation and entrepreneurship seriously for the betterment of the country.<\/div>\n

She was speaking during the ongoing Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo.<\/div>\n
Posting on her Facebook Page, Minister Mavetera hailed stakeholders for contributing towards a digital economy.<\/div>\n

“I would like to thank all stakeholders who graced the 2nd edition of the Digital Economy Conference at the ZITF in Bulawayo.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
“An array of topics were dissected by industry leaders from both the public and private sectors.<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
“Participants had a fair share of time to ask the burning questions on matters that cover cybersecurity, connectivity ,and regulations.<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
“As the ministry, we are committed to be at par with other progressive nations.<\/div>\n
“As of today, there are 120 5G base stations across the country and we desire to increase this number in the near future.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
“With strong connectivity comes more benefits in terms of innovation, efficiency, and productivity.”<\/div>\n
She said, there is need for proper use of innovation hubs.<\/div>\n
“The academia weighed in on the issue of talent identification, proper use of innovation hubs, and full capacitation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Students are encouraged to take innovation and entrepreneurship seriously.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
