The doctors ranged from Physicians, urologists, Neuro Surgeon, Paediatrician,\u00a0 Onocologist, Obstetrician & Gynae, Cadio-thoratic Surg, General Surgeon, Anaesthetist and Casualty.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the Annual 4th Edition Doctors\u2019 Appreciation Cocktail on Thursday, The Avenues Clinic General Manager Sibusisiwe Ndhlovu hailed the doctors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are making steady progress with gradual infrastructure improvements aimed at improving our facilities, ensuring that both our patients and healthcare professionals have a world-class environment.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdditionally, we have been investing in cutting-edge medical equipment, including the newly acquired Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator (CUZA) machine, which will play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose who work in the theatres understand that this is a piece of medical equipment, several key benefits among them being improved precision, reduced blood loss, and faster operating times.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese advancements align with our goal of win win partnerships which ensures that we collectively provide the best clinical outcomes for our patients.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pleased to have you all here this evening for the fourth edition of our annual Doctors’ Appreciation Cocktail.<\/p>\n
This event is a significant one for us as Medical Investments Limited because it allows us to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible work done by our doctors across various specialties.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs you might know, the hospital turns 42 years this year and over the years, we have witnessed great success as a hospital, and much of this success is attributed to the strong partnership we have with you\u2014our doctors.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour commitment, dedication, and the time you invest in our hospital to care for patients is invaluable. It is because of you that we continue to provide exceptional healthcare and deliver positive patient outcomes.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have made significant strides in acquiring state-of-the art technology. I would like to just highlight some of the other few fascinating pieces of equipment that we have invested in, within our hospital that are assisting us in delivering the exceptional care that we rightly aim for: First, our laparoscopic towers in the theatres have revolutionized our surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese towers enable minimally invasive surgeries that not only reduce the length of hospital stays but also contribute to quicker recoveries and better overall outcomes for our patients.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn our neonatal unit, we introduced Giraffe incubators\u2014state-of-the-art equipment designed to provide the optimal environment for our tiniest patients.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith these incubators, we have witnessed remarkable success, with premature babies born as early as 24 to 26 weeks defying international survival odds.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne memorable case involved a mother who stayed with us for two months, ultimately delivering at 27 weeks, with both mother and baby progressing well.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese successes underscore our commitment to advancing neonatal care. In addition, our emergency unit has benefited from the integration of a mobile ventilator.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis device allows our trauma-trained doctors to deliver critical respiratory support quickly, ensuring that patients in urgent need receive timely care without the delays often associated with transferring them to the ICU. Each of these investments reflects our unwavering dedication to excellence in healthcare.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy continually enhancing our technological capabilities, we are not only improving clinical outcomes but also providing our dedicated medical teams with the tools they need to deliver outstanding care.<\/p>\n
\u201cSurgical Success & Medical Oversight: Our surgical teams have consistently maintained an impressive success rate, a testament to the skill, dedication, and precision of the surgeons in this room tonight.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour expertise has transformed countless lives, and we deeply appreciate your contributions. Post-operatively, our nursing teams have provided exceptional care, working hand in hand with you to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sure we have all been moved by the patient testimonials shared in the videos at the start of the program, and there are more to come later this evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeyond the operating rooms and wards, we also take clinical governance seriously.<\/p>\n
