DELTA Beverages has launched an investigation into an alleged attempt by some criminals to illegally access its Southerton brewery.<\/p>\n
The criminals dug up a pre-existing water storm drainage tunnel in an attempt to gain access on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Delta Corporation corporate affairs executive, Patricia Murambinda, said the incident did not cause any disruption to its operations.<\/p>\n
“We are working closely with the police and responsible authorities to determine the veracity of the report and the possible motive and identity of the perpetrators.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe take the safety and security of our employees, facilities, and our assets very seriously.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u200b are cooperating fully with all responsible authorities involved in the investigation and are\u200b conducting our standard incident management and review processes.<\/p>\n
\u200b”We urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact the police or our company directly.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for your understanding and cooperation\u200b,” said Murambinda.<\/p>\n
Delta Beverages Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of lagers in Zimbabwe, is currently investigating alleged attempt by unknown persons to illegally access premises at Southerton brewery through a pre-existing water storm drainage tunnel.<\/p>\n
The incident, which was discovered on 17 February 2025 by Delta Beverages employees, has not caused disruption to our operations.<\/p>\n
